Hello Loves,

Did you have a chance to read and listen to or view Patrick’videos on Cancer Energy? If you did, we hope you are able to let the words and energies sink in.

If you haven’t yet (or still hope to finish) I encourage you to start there first. The link is below:

Once you consider the triad of nuturing, inclusive, and expansive possibilities, you might find this energy showing up for you in new ways. For me, I was moved to create a short set of somatic practices and I included an audio recording later in this post for paid subscribers.

I’m also a daily journal-keeper. It feels oddly perfect to me that I’ve been so regular over the years. It wasn’t until 2023 that I fully grasped the value of all those years of records. Now, as a practicing astrologer, it clicked into place! The “big” transits in my life were events I could trace and reference.

Most days my journal prompt is: What’s on your mind, love?

I let my hand move freely, writing 2-4 pages a la Julia Cameron’s recommendation for morning pages.

But sometimes it’s better to delve into a question, to excavate something more specific. We have decided to include a set of journal questions with each month’s constellation “transmission” to help you deepen through self-inquiry.

Timing-wise, the new moon in Cancer took place on June 25th. The full moon will be in the opposite sign on the Zodiac wheel (Capricorn) on July 10th. Here is a visual full moon chart (Central U.S. time) including planetary placements.

Full moons are a great time for releasing. They can be good times for gathering, for being seen, and for illuminating themes that are important to us. In that spirit, my suggestion is to take some time close to July 10th to explore the following questions:

📝 On Nurturing

What does nurturing mean to me? Are there some favorite ways I like to be nurtured? Any new ways I would love to try?

📝 On Inclusion

How does it feel when I include ALL wisdom centers in me while making decisions: heart, head, and gut? Are there any parts I’m forgetting to include?

📝 On Expansion

Am I ready to expand into the next version of myself? What stops me from taking up space and expanding into my full potential?

Take any (or all) of these questions, and write for 5-10 minutes. I love writing by hand with a favorite pen. But you might prefer exploring on a keyboard, drawing, or using collage to express your answers.

There are no rules when it comes to these prompts. You can use paper that you plan to shred, or you can write in your favorite journal. You can open the voice recorder on your phone and talk through any prompt out loud. The point is to allow for contemplation, and to sit with the questions.

If you prefer to share anything surprising that came up, feel free to put it into the Study Group Chat. No pressure though. These are for you.

If you’re game, and you want to experience a brief somatic practice for each of these energies, please enjoy the audio guidance I recorded for paid subscribers.
